Week 2: "Everyone Has A Story"

During this course, I would like you to complete at least two projects that show something about yourself. Many people don't think they have a story, but everyone has something interesting to share (even if you don't think so!). Remember, we like learning about others.

This week, generate possible ideas for what people could share about themselves. It might be small or life-changing, humorous or soul-searching. Ask each other questions, share tidbits, and help each other develop ideas to develop into a personal nonfiction story!

It sounds like a good idea to me, and it is true; everyone has something that would interest others, whether they know it or not.
As for me, my life is just plain exciting, so I've got no problem. :-D

When I first meet someone I like to know where they are from and what they like to do. Some other questions I would usually ask would be like what's your favorite color and, do you like cats or dogs better =D. Just a few questions to get to know the person...

What I like to know about people is what there culture is where they are from and how did they get here. I would also like to know how to understand there languages like Spanish, Norwegain, Russian, etc. And what I would mostly like to learn about is what they do to survive and how do they do it. Because some of the places don't have any medical people or anything to cure people who are really sick. And especially the kids who don't really have a place to live. I like to learn about all kinds of people from different places.

I like to know about where people are from and what they do on their free time. There's also favorite vacations. Which holiday do they consider their favorite and which is the most memorable. What's their favorite memory? How many places has someone lived in?

There are also things like nationalities or like where ancestors are from. What countries do they have family in? What countries have they been to? Has anyone had a pen pal from another country?

Has someone in your life effected you in some way? Did something big happen in your life that made you change your way of living?

It's good to know the basics about someone first. last week we kind of covered those. the main things i like to know about people are:
when you have spare time, what is the first thing you do?
what kind of people do you like to hang out with? what interests you most in a person?
do you enjoy playing sports?
do you have both of you parents in your life, and if not why?
do you have siblings you look out for?
what do you do on weekends?
is school and college important to you?
if someone asked you what you want to do with your future, what would it be?
why do you enjoy the things you do, because other people do them or because its something you really enjoy for yourself?
who is the person you are closest to, and why are you so close to that person?
are you confident in yourself? if not why?

After introductions and basic information are shared, I like to know what makes a person unique: how they became the way they are, why they think and do what they do, and what motivates them.

AMBER:

I like to know if they're outgoing or shy. I like to know where they're from, what their history is like. I also like to know how many pets they have, or if they like pets.
