Week 16: Attitude

As we watch The Pursuit of Happyness, we see a father struggling with overwhelming obstacles over long stretches of time. What do you notice about his attitude? How important is attitude to our daily lives? How do you view your own attitude, or the attitudes of those around you?

Anyone who were to walk in the shoes of "chris" would see just how hard he really has it. They would see how, hard it would be to raise your son on your own, and not even know where you're going to sleep that night, or what you're going to eat. They would see that people aren't always who they say they are, and underneath they are really just like you and me, screaming for help.

Through out the movie, we see how much Chris has to go through, but now matter what he never loses his cool. He has the dream, and wont let go of it. his attitude is very important, because he doesnt want to blow everything he has ever worked for. I think, if it were anyone else, they would crumble apart. He also does what he needs to get the day over, and does whatever he can to make the people around him benefit the most. People need to be more like him,and our world would be a better place.

The movie was great!
It's just amazing to think this was true and how you really dont know someone as best as you thought you did.

What Chris and his family are going through are a normal thing for people who have little or no money at all. Chris is trying his hardest to figure things out for his family and by selling the bone density scanners but Linda has no confidence in him and leaves. Most wifes may do that because all the stress. Christopher is Chri's son and he has to go through all that and what they are going through will affect kids. Some kids in our school have money problems and they show it buy not doing there homework, getting bad grades, getting in trouble at school. I know from exprience with bad attitudes. Ever since I lost my dad it has affected me in school. People who usually have bad attidudes take it out on other people because of what happened at home. And just because you live in a trailer or a camper and have litle or no money at all doesnt mean you cant make it through to the real world. Like in the book we read we beat the street they lived in a tough neighborhood and they made it through. If people can realize that then there will be a lot of smart people. Chris never gave up he kept trying and trying. Like I always say to help others with stuff "never give up" you can do it if you put your mind to it. Just try.

i think Chris Gardner has the best attitude of anyone i've seen. he gets thrown in so many unfair and just plain hard situations, but he doesn't lose it. he has such a positive attitude, even when things seem to be getting worse he just keeps pushing forward.

attitude is something that affects ones entire life. if you decide you're in a bad mood or have a negative attitude about something then it changes the entire situation. your attitude can determine the outcome of many different things you do in your life. if you go into things with a positive attitude then you will always do better at it.

i think my attitude varies. with things i enjoy, i have a positive attitude and give it my all. however, i think i tend to view things i dont like with a negative attitude and dont try as hard. im trying to work on having a more positive attitude about things, it really changes my mood if im positive about things. being positive gives great results
